1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files that a site stores in your browser. Your browser's local storage does a similar job. In this policy we use “cookies” to refer to both.

We use them to make the site work, to remember your preferences and, only if you accept, to measure how it is used.

2. Who is responsible

HMH Sistemas is responsible for the data processed with the cookies in this policy. See the Privacy notice to learn about your rights and how to exercise them.

3. Types of cookies

  • Essential: they make the site and the application work or remember decisions you make. They do not require your consent.
  • Preferences: they remember settings of yours, such as whether the side menu is open or closed. They do not require your consent.
  • Analytics: they measure how the site is used. They are only turned on if you accept them.
  • Advertising: third parties use them to show ads in some free plans of the app, with your consent.

4. Site cookies (hmhfour.com)

Essential

They remember your theme preference and your choice about analytics cookies. They are stored in your browser and do not require consent.

Analytics (with your consent)

If you accept them, we use a third-party analytics service to measure how the site is used so we can improve it. We configure it without advertising features or ad personalization. If you do not accept, nothing from that service is loaded or stored.

Browsers may shorten the lifetime of these cookies.

5. Application cookies (app.hmhfour.com)

Essential

They keep you signed in and let you keep using the application without asking for your password again. They do not require consent.

Preferences

They remember settings of yours, such as the theme, views, filters and the state of the side menu. They do not require consent either.

Browser local storage

Besides cookies, the application stores data in your browser's local or session storage so that it works and to remember your preferences and drafts. It is not used for analytics or advertising.

A technical marker is also stored temporarily in your browser session to prevent reload loops if the download of an application file fails.

Payments

On the billing screens, our payment provider may set security and fraud prevention cookies. That provider defines their names and lifetimes and may change them.

Advertising (with your consent)

Some free plans may show ads. Advertising providers may use cookies to show them, and they are only turned on if you accept them.

6. How to change your choice

When you enter the site we ask whether you accept analytics. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie preferences” button in the footer. If you reject it, we stop measuring and delete the analytics cookies.

We remember your choice for one year in your browser; after that we ask you again.

You can also delete or block cookies from your browser settings. If you do, the site may not remember your preferences.

For ads, you can adjust your ad settings with the corresponding advertising provider.

7. Transfers outside Mexico

Analytics, payment and advertising providers may process the data from these cookies in the United States and in other countries. You will find more detail in the Privacy notice.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change the cookies we use, we will update this page and its last updated date.

9. Contact

If you have questions about this policy, write to the privacy email listed in the Privacy notice.

10. Prevailing language

This policy is published in Spanish and English. If the two versions differ, the Spanish version prevails.
